EVolocity National Final 2019

Following five years of planning and producing the EVolocity National Final in Christchurch, it was time to head to Hamilton at let the North Island host the event! The 2019 event was hosted at Kartsport Hamilton with Jet Park Hotel Hamilton Airport (across the road) as the prizegiving venue.

The action took place on the track with over 60 teams, made up with 240 high school students, from around the country, who had worked all year to produce their national finals worthy electric kart or bike, competing across a range of events.

We have been the national event manager for EVolocity since its beginnings in 2014 when it had just 20 teams and around 80 students involved over the whole year, with Canterbury as the pilot region. It has been an incredible journey to watch EVolocity expand throughout the country and with over 700 students taking place in the program in 2019 from all around NZ, all looking for a coveted place in the national final.

As region, school and student uptake has taken off, so has the number of sponsors and partners supporting the in-school programme, both at a regional and national level, whom without their ongoing support this event would not be possible. Part of our role each year is to work with the sponsors to ensure they are presented with opportunities to activate their brand to their audience. We love creating these mini brand engagement experiences with the sponsors each year, alongside the main EVolocity event.

Every year the EVolocity competition gets tougher and we can tell you, the future is looking bright with these young people in it!
