We brought the UINZ and Polyweld teams together to celebrate their 10th year Anniversary & Christmas Celebration in the picturesque town of Hanmer Springs!
On arrival at the UINZ yard, guests were warmly welcomed by the Collective Concepts team with homemade savoury scones, followed by a freshly made fruit cup and along with our good friends at Coffee Skills, their coffees got everyone ready for a weekend full of adventure and fun filled activities!
After taking in the gorgeous views during the scenic drive, guests arrived in Hanmer Springs, where they powered through the spectacular Waiau River canyon with spins and thrills galore at the Hanmer Springs Jet Boat ride! For those that could stomach lunch after their thrilling Jet Boat ride, everyone gathered for a lovely team lunch provided by Canterbury’s caterer, Smoke ‘n Barrel – where they served their most delicious smoked meats and fresh substantial salads.
During lunch, it was time for another surprise – A deck of cards were passed around, each taking one card from the deck, the four lucky team members who “Picked the Ace”, got to experience the elation from a 35-metre freefall to the surging river below amidst stunning scenery at Canterbury’s only bungy!
Moving on to the formal section of the weekend, the hotel food & beverage team welcomed guests to the restaurant courtyard with an arrival cocktail, alongside canapés and small bites created by one of Hanmer’s best chefs. The Christchurch duo from Mirrors Entertainment Duo set the perfect vibe as the group sat down, to take a moment to connect and reflect on the year it had been.
After dinner, you alway crave something sweet to eat, that’s when the special 10th year celebration cake came out! While enjoying a tasty slice, Mirrors Entertainment Band took to the stage, getting everyone hyped up to hit the dance floor and show off their moves!
Following a night of dancing, celebrating and a good nights’ rest at the Hanmer Springs Hotel, guests enjoyed brunch before heading into the town centre to shop up a storm and relax in the iconic hot pools.
